[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_text_separator title=”Welcome to This Day in Barrington History” title_align=”separator_align_left”][vc_column_text]Good morning and welcome to March 13th and Day 72 of 365 in Barrington, Illinois! You’ll find our stories of the day – past, present & future (events) – right here on today’s DailyPage. Because every day has its own rhythm, we’re sharing a song of the day here at 365Barrington.com.
Our song for today is rapper, Flo Rida‘s “Good Feeling” … just because of the feeling in the air right now with the return of both warmer weather and full-day, every-day school in the Barrington 220 School District. Exactly one year ago today, on March 13th of 2020, Barrington 220 schools superintendent, Dr. Brian Harris, announced the closure of our schools due to the rapid worldwide spread of coronavirus. “Good feeling” doesn’t fully describe how it feels to be on the other side of this pandemic, but the energy of this song comes close!!!
“Good Feeling” was released late August, 2011 and peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Flo Rida’s sixth top-ten and fourth top-five single on the chart. The song became a top ten hit in 16 countries. The song features acoustic-driven guitars, computerized beats and charging keyboards over a prominent sample from Avicii’s song “Levels“, which in turn samples Etta James’s 1962 gospel-tinged hit “Something’s Got a Hold on Me.” The first use of the Etta James vocal sample in a popular track was by Pretty Lights in the song “Finally Moving” in 2006, with a remix surfacing in 2008.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_text_separator title=”Song of the Day” title_align=”separator_align_left”][vc_column_text]

Just look at that cheese pull! 🤤🍕
You can always spot an authentic Italian pizzeria the second you walk in from the cozy, neighborhood vibes to that unbelievable aroma in the air. We stopped by Primo Pizza and tried a little bit of everything:
✨ The Primo (loaded up with Italian sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, & green peppers)
✨ Stuffed Pepperoni Pizza (the cheese pull on this pie is NEXT LEVEL!)
✨ Gyros Pizza (topped with cool tzatziki, tomatoes, & onions)
✨ Tiramisu for the ultimate sweet finish
✨ Washed it all down with an ice-cold RC Cola—a classic Chicago pizza pairing!
You can truly taste the authenticity and tradition in every single bite. Save this post for your next pizza run in Barrington! 👇🔥

Meet the first responders of the Barrington Fire Department and Barrington Police Department, tour our stations, enjoy interactive activities, connect with community partners, visit with the SOUL Harbour Ranch Animal Therapy Program, and grab some free food and swag along the way.

Local author Meg Cappel visits St. Anne Catholic School to share her new book “Tell Me About Your Apple Festival.”
In this story, “Betty can’t wait for the Murphysboro Apple Festival, but she’s not quite ready for bedtime! In this heartwarming children’s picture book, a cozy bedtime conversation with her mom reveals how the festival has brought joy to their family for four generations. As Betty listens to stories of apple pies, parades, and laughter, she discovers how family traditions connect hearts across generations.”
You can purchase a copy of this sweet book locally at Bell House Books in the Ice House Mall.
