As we head into the last month of 2022 and the holiday season, Barrington Area Volunteer Connection (BAVC) invites you to share in the holiday spirit and give back to so many of the wonderful nonprofits we have in the area such as:
Campus Life Center, Barrington – Wrapped With Love Volunteers!
Calling all volunteers on December 17th or December 23rd – Campus Life Center is celebrating their 5th Wrapped With Love fundraiser and volunteers are needed for the Elf Shop! Come help wrap gifts for the community and raise funds for some special local causes. Click here to sign up.
Elderwerks – Spread holiday joy and support a good cause!
Elderwerks is seeking volunteers to help with Holiday Gift Wrapping & Holiday Card Creating! Gift wrap days are every Thursday from 10am-3pm, the full week before Hanukkah 9 am-5pm, and the full week before Christmas 9am-5pm. The funds raised from gift wrap donations will go towards assisting seniors with senior living coordination, advocacy, finding local resources, and helping them plan for their futures. The holiday cards that are created will be delivered to local isolated seniors for the Make a Senior Smile program. Click here to sign up.
NeuroBalance Center – Front Desk Volunteer Needed!
The NeuroBalance Center in Barrington, IL is looking for a volunteer to help at the front desk to assist with greeting visitors, clerical duties, participant questions, and incoming and outgoing calls when needed, manage the reception and waiting area, etc. Click here to sign up.
Little City – Join their community!
Little City is a vital, vibrant community offering a comprehensive scope of services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Our founding principles along with a therapeutic community approach, continue to guide our programs and services for children and adults of all ages, enabling Little City to create hope, change lives and challenge the limits placed on individuals with disabilities.

Barrington Area Volunteer Connection (BAVC)‘s goal is to bring all 100+ Barrington area nonprofits, churches and service organizations in a free & easy to use database so that volunteers can easily find opportunities.
The foundation of BAVC is a volunteer match platform called Get Connected which serves as a clearinghouse to bring together organizations, volunteers, and collaborators to match volunteer interests with nonprofits needing assistance. GetConnected also offers organizations optional features such as easy record keeping of volunteer hours, as well as mobile check in and shift reminders and other ways to communicate with volunteers.
