Time for another Menu Monday update! After a warm, sunny weekend like the one we just had, I thought we’d take a quick trip to The Arboretum of South Barrington to see what’s on the menu at Bamboo Spoon Frozen Yogurt Cafe. Bamboo Spoon is a South Barrington family-owned business committed to serving healthy and delicious yogurts in an upbeat, friendly atmosphere. And it’s the last call to taste June’s flavors because they’re about to introduce brand new flavors for July!
They have six yogurt machines that can feature up to 18 different flavors at Bamboo Spoon, which you’ll find on the Higgins side of The Arboretum near Cooper’s Hawk restaurant.
They have four staple yogurt flavors that they always offer, which include Triple Chocolate, No Sugar Added Tahitian Vanilla, Cookies & Cream and Original Tart frozen yogurt.
The new flavors on deck for July include:
Raspberry * Green Apple Sorbet * Watermelon Sorbet * Pomegranate Raspberry Tart * Coconut * Keylime Pie * Sea Salt Caramel Pretzel * Cake Batter

No Sugar Added Tahitian Vanilla + Cookies & Cream = “Milk & Cookies”
Triple Chocolate + Raspberry = “Chocolate Covered Raspberry”
Green Apple Sorbet + Watermelon Sorbet = “Sweet & Tart Twist”
Original Tart + Pomegranate Raspberry = “Pomegranate Raspberry Twist”
Coconut + Keylime Pie = “Coconut Lime Pie”

In addition to the rotating frozen yogurt selection, Bamboo Spoon General Manager Amee Hobday says they feature over 50 toppings to choose from with plenty of fresh fruit to please your summer palate. “Right now we have strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, pineapple, kiwi, cookie dough, oreos. Whatever you can think of, we pretty much have.”
Amee also says they work hard at Bamboo Spoon to be both health conscious and environmentally friendly. “We donate twenty trees a day to charities, we use eco-friendly products and everything we use we try to recycle.”
