The movie version of Elizabeth Gilbert’s book, “Eat Pray Love” hit the big screen this month and Gold Class Cinemas at the South Barrington Arboretum is offering a special menu and cooking demonstrations based on the movie this week. In the story, the main character, played by Julia Roberts, visits Italy, India and Indonesia during her journey of self-discovery. Gold Class Cinema chefs put together a menu inspired by those three countries to help guests get into the culinary spirit of the movie.
The special menu includes Italian Caprese Skewers and Pizza Margarita, Masala Chicken and Curry Chicken Salad inspired by India and a Bali Fruit Salad for dessert. There will also be a cooking demonstration by the in-house chef starring flavorful treats from each of these three regions. But the final two days of this special menu and cooking demonstration will be at 6PM at the theater this Wednesday and Thursday. The movie times for these days are 12PM, 3PM and 9:45PM.
