Want to start a new tradition with your mom this Mother’s Day? There’s still time to sign up for the Mother’s Day 5K Run/Walk happening on the streets of Barrington on Sunday morning. You can even have a poster created to cheer on your mom and arrange to have it posted along the course route.
Get your legs moving with your mama and bring your little ones, too for the FREE 100 meter kids dash.
The race starts and finishes at 200 Spring Street in Barrington. The course is USATF certified and there will be a water station set up serving drinks. Registration and Packet Pickup is this Sunday morning, May 8th, between 7 and 7:45 a.m. and the 5K race starts right at 8 a.m. The Free Kids Fun Run 100 Meter Dash for ages 8 and under starts at 8:45 a.m. and the awards will happen at 9:50 a.m. There’s a new course for this year’s run and it’ll be open Sunday morning during race time for an hour and 15 minutes.
The cost to participate is $30 per person if you register on or before tomorrow, May 5th. If you register after tomorrow, the price is $35 per person. The price includes a commemorative shirt, bib number, chip timing, photography and post event stretching, massage, food and a poster along the course to cheer on your mom.
You can sign up online by clicking HERE or you can sign up in person and pick up packets in advance at Chiro One Wellness Center in Hoffman Estates. That’s at 4601 W. Higgins Road and you’re even welcome to drop by their new facility the day before the race from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 7th.
