October Pink Hair for Hope Campaign

Jennifer Michaels Hair Studio is taking the lead locally in one of the hottest style trends today, starting October First.  It’s PINK HAIR!  So move over, Katy Perry.  Because you don’t have to be a pop star to wear the popular pink hue this month.  Proceeds from all purchases of pink strands at the salon throughout October will be donated to the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Pink Hair for Hope campaign.

You can have a strand of pink hair put in for a simple $10 donation this month.  That money will go to the Pink Hair for Hope campaign to help fund programs supporting women with breast cancer.  Jennifer Michaels has stocked up on their pink hair to meet the demand.  They’ve been taking part in this popular promotion for several years and say they expect hundreds of clients will “wear their pink ribbons in their hair this month”.

But the pink hair offering is not the only late-breaking news out of Jennifer Michaels Hair Studio.  A new owner just purchased the salon and the small team of stylists there say they couldn’t be more excited about the future of the business.  So that’s why we’re so happy to introduce Jennifer Michaels Hair Studio as the latest member of the Barrington Online Markeplace here at 365Barrington.com.  We’ll share more details about the salon’s new ownership in a minute.  But first, we want to take a second to explain how the Marketplace works:

Now back to Jennifer Michaels and the new owner stylists are welcoming with open arms.  His name is Rich Brown, he lives in Lake in the Hills and he recently retired from the air pollution equipment business.

Rich says he never dreamed that he’d own a salon and be pitching pink hair extensions.  But he says he sees tremendous opportunity with this business.  “Jennifer Michaels has great systems in place and the financials looked good so I purchased the business on September first and am excited about the potential.”

“I’m not a hairstylist.  I’m just a business guy.  When I retired, I decided to explore buying a very successful and profitable business and my daughter, who is in the industry, gave Jennifer Michaels a thumbs up.”

Rich also says the skill and professionalism of the existing stylists at Jennifer Michaels helped seal the deal.  (They also plan to hire a few more stylists, if you happen to know anyone who’s looking!)
