If you’d like to get some exercise with friends and family while supporting a great cause, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is hosting their second annual Great Strides 5K Trail Run tomorrow at Citizens Park in Barrington.
On-site race day registration starts at 7 a.m. tomorrow morning. The cost to participate in this timed trail run is $35.00 and proceeds will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Great Strides is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s largest national event. More than 250,000 walkers around the country come together each year as one community for one cause: to help find a cure for CF. Locally, the Greater Illinois Chapter has a fundraising goal of over $2.2 million dollars across 12 different walk sites.
Participants of Great Strides are raising money to benefit more than 1,000 families in the Chicago metropolitan area who are waging a daily battle with Cystic Fibrosis.
