Free Barrington Area Bird Walks this Fall

If you’ve enjoyed our recent Birds of Barrington series about area birds profiled by Barrington Hills birder and naturalist Wendy Paulson, here’s your chance to meet her in person.  Citizens for Conservation just released their lineup of fall bird walks led by Wendy herself!  She’ll be leading four scheduled walks and talking about the fall bird migration in the Barrington area.

The walks are FREE and open to the public though spaces are limited and RSVPs are required.  Good walking shoes are strongly recommended for these walks along with a pair of binoculars.

Schedule:

September 6th – 3:30 p.m.
Bakers Lake (parking lot on Highland Aveue, South of Hillside Ave.)

September 20th – 7:30 a.m.
Galloping Hill (park at Penny Road Pond parking lot in Barrington Hills)

September 27th – 7:30 a.m.
Flint Creek Savanna (park at CFC headquarters at 459 Rte. 22)

October 4th, 8:00 a.m.
Beese Park (meet at Beese Park, east end of Cornell Ave.)

Before you head out, please be sure to check the Citizens for Conservation website for any last minute changes or cancellations.  Late fall outings might also be added closer to the date.
