Find out all this and more from local beekeeper, Tom Rowan at this beginning beekeeping seminar hosted by Smart Farm of Barrington. It’s happening from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 4th. You’ll learn what to do and what not to do in order to help bees survive. What agricultural and habitat practices are adversely affecting honeybees today.
You can even learn the basics of backyard beekeeping to maybe start your own apiary right out your back door. This entertaining and informative forum will show you all the basics.
A Taste of Honey(bees) will take place at The Smart Farm Learning Center, 490 W IL 22 in Lake Barrington. (Please note GPS directions are incorrect.) Smart Farm is located west of Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital and east of Kelsey Rd on the North Side of Rte 22.
