On this day, February 19 in 1956, Dave Wakeling, from British group The English Beat was born. The group had a string of UK hit singles in the 80s, including ‘Mirror in the Bathroom,’ ‘Can’t Get Used to Losing You‘, ‘Hands Off, She’s Mine‘ and, our favorite, ‘Save it for Later‘. Wakeling described the lyrical theme of ‘Save It for Later’ as “about turning from a teenager to someone in their 20s.”
