Welcome to This Day in Barrington History
Good morning and welcome to February 20 and Day 51 of 365 in Barrington, Illinois! You’ll find our stories of the day – past, present & future (events) – right here on today’s DailyPage. Because every day has its own rhythm, we’re sharing a song of the day here at 365Barrington.com.
On this day, February 20, the band Coldplay’s second album, A Rush Of Blood won Best British Album at the 2003 Brit Awards. One of our favorite songs from this album is ‘Clocks‘ which was released on November 4th, 2002. ‘Clocks’ was written and composed during the late stages of the album’s production. A riff popped into lead singer, Chris Martin’s mind late one night in Liverpool when he came into the studio, where he then developed it on piano. According to Martin, ‘Clocks’ was inspired by the English rock band, Muse.
