Join us for this unique showcase of local nonprofits! Hear directly from the nonprofits about community resources & volunteer opportunities. Some of the non-profits that will be present include: Boys & Girls Club of Dundee Township, House of Hope, Barrington Youth & Family Services, Be SMART and more.
The following non-profits will also be present and are accepting donations for the following items:
Lions Club
Donations of hearing aids, used eye glasses, Retired U.S. Flags
Walk On Farm
Paper Towels, Simple Green Cleaner
JourneyCare
NEW simple puzzles, coloring books, small stuffed animals and crocheted or knitted blankets
Rahab’s Daughters
Old cell phones, tablets, computers

This will be a great opportunity for all volunteers ages 13 and up to meet face to face with non-profit leaders and gain a better understanding of the resources they offer!

Citizens for Conservation – Fall Plant Sale on October 19th!
Each fall, CFC hosts a native shrub & tree sale, expanding local habitat in yards throughout the Chicago region. Volunteers are key to help make this wonderful event happen. CFC is looking for volunteers to help with orders and breakdown.
CFC is excited to be at our newest and largest preserve, Hill ‘N Dale Preserve, Barn 6, located in Barrington Hills at the northeast corner of W County Line Rd and Ridge Rd.

Barrington Area Council on Governments – Website Assistance
BACOG is a voluntary organization of elected officials representing the 7 local governments. BACOG provides support for regional planning and development and facilitates cooperative strategies for environmental and groundwater protection, legislative advocacy, and other governmental matters.
BACOG is looking for someone to help update their website. This is a good volunteer opportunity for those who want to do remote work !

Barrington Area Volunteer Connection (BAVC)‘s goal is to bring all 100+ Barrington area nonprofits, churches and service organizations in a free & easy to use database so that volunteers can easily find opportunities. The foundation of BAVC is a volunteer match platform called Get Connected which serves as a clearinghouse to bring together organizations, volunteers, and collaborators to match volunteer interests with nonprofits needing assistance.
