The Fourth of July festivities begin in Barrington this Friday, June 29th, so get ready for the return of the Barrington Brat Tent, 4th of July Parade, great food, fun for families and live concerts over the next six days.

The Brat Tent is all set up and ready to go for the six-day celebration and the schedule is packed with a great variety of fun activities for kids and adults. Here’s a look at what’s going on daily to help you plan your trips around your favorite festival features…

100% of proceeds will support Ride for 3 Reasons
Ride for 3 Reasons is Barrington cyclist, Bob Lee’s  endeavor to raise $1 million for CANCER, ALS and HOSPICE via a solo bike ride down the U.S. Pacific coast this September. (3Reasons.org)

FIREWORKS can be viewed best from the lawns of Barrington High School @ Lake Cook & Hart Road.

You’ll find the Brat Tent and all the fun in the North Metra Train commuter lot at Spring Street. There is a Kids’ Daytime special which costs $5 for kids age 3 and up and includes unlimited access to all kids’ activities, a hot dog, chips and soda from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission for adults is free during these hours. The cost after 6 p.m. is $5 for adults, $1 for teens age 14-17 and there is no charge at night for kids 13 and under are Free.
