Creating inspired spaces at home that could be featured on the cover of a magazine just got a whole lot easier in Barrington. Interior designer, Kate Marker, has opened a brand new design showroom on Cook Street. Her new storefront is bright, airy and open, inviting conversations about transforming tired rooms into spaces where you love to live.
We are proud to introduce Kate Marker Interiors as the latest Barrington Online Marketplace member in our Home and Garden category. Kate is sharing some of her favorite design trends with us today, which we’ll get to in just a minute.
But first, we want to take a second to explain how the Marketplace works:
On Mondays each week, we’ll be introducing you to the latest members of our marketplace and sending an email to people who’ve signed up for our newsletter, The 365 Barrington Buzz. If you’d like to receive those emails, which will also include information about upcoming events, we’d be happy to add you to our list of subscribers. Just enter your email here and click “Submit”.
You’ll find the new community resource at 365Barrington.com/Marketplace. To have your business, organization, home or event featured in the new Marketplace, visit 365Barrington.com/Advertise for more information or call Liz at 847-691-3150.
Now back to Kate Marker Interiors and her new Barrington storefront. You’ll find the space at 220 S. Cook Street, by Barrington Draperies & Shutters, near Egg Harbor Cafe and overlooking Barrington Bank & Trust.
She just opened the new shop a few weeks ago and says it offers a new level of service to her customers. “We’ve created a space that could look like a client’s home, but it’s a storefront. We feature vignettes of furniture, home accessories, lighting, artwork, rugs, fabric samples, catalogs and cabinetry throughout the showroom. Now a client can actually come into our space, work with us and be hands-on. Or they can just walk in and purchase a bowl or an accessory and that’s what really makes us unique.”
