You can catch American English on stage inside the heated ChristKindlFest holiday tent from 8:30 to 11 p.m. on Thursday, December 4th.  Thanks to support from ChristKindlFest sponsors, the cost of admission is only $10 for what promises to be a rocking trip back in time as the band performs songs covering the entire Beatles career from 1963 to 1970.

Band leader Eric Michaels, who performs as Paul McCartney, says we can expect to hear a few holiday favorites during this week’s show like Wonderful Christmas and Happy Xmas (War is Over).  Eric says, from the costumes to the instruments to the sound quality, their show will be as authentic as it gets!

“We perform a professional show, a stage show with costume changes and original guitars. We even paint our guitars, like the Beatles did when they went into the psychedelic era.  When we perform our songs, they’re record quality,” Eric says.  “That’s because we hire a staff that ensures everything is going to sound correctly and not like a bunch of guys jamming and that makes a big difference.”

“Performing Beatles songs is like playing classical music to us,” Eric says. “If you go to see a concert of Chopin or Beethoven at the Auditorium Theater, you know exactly what you want and you expect it to sound a certain way.  We’re able to document and perform just like the Beatles would perform if they were together today.”

In fact, Eric says American English’s performances are so authentic, they’re asked to play in venues all over the world.  “From here to Bermuda to Hawaii to Japan, Australia, England, we’ve been everywhere.  Whether we’re playing for a party of 50 or we play for 15,000 people or over 50,o00 people, we bring the same enthusiasm.  These are the best pop songs ever written by the greatest pop band in the world and it’s a thrill to be able to play them for a living.”
