One of the most anticipated events of the summer, the Village of Barrington’s Sidewalk Sale Days, starts this week at 10 a.m. on Thursday. With years of tradition, this annual three-day event is your chance to find incredible bargains and unique treasures from a selection of Barrington specialty shops and small businesses.
Local retailers will offer great sales inside and outside – click here for a list of participating merchants, sales, and specials. Merchant displays will include a wide range of goods from fashion and jewelry to sporting goods and gift items at discounted prices.
This is also a great preview weekend for new fall merchandise including apparel, shoes, outerwear, gifts, florals, furniture, collectibles, jewelry and a whole lot more. Along with specialty merchandise, shoppers can browse the variety of dining options throughout the Village.
Barrington’s Sidewalk Sale Days will be Thursday – Saturday, July 23, 24, and 25 from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sales galore can be found at shops in the heart of downtown Barrington, along Northwest Highway, the Ice House Mall, the Shops on Lageschulte Street and The Foundry Shopping Center at Hart Road and Route 14.
While in the Village on Thursday, check out the Farmers Market on Park Avenue in downtown Barrington. The Barrington Farmers Market was started in 2000 by the Barrington Village Association (BVA), a homeowner’s group made up of residents living in the downtown Village area. With great food products and community involvement, the Farmers Market has turned out to be” the place to be” on Thursday during the summer & fall months.
In addition, the newly renovated cultural center, Barrington’s White House, features cultural evenings every Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Located at 145 West Main Street, the White House will feature a special musical performances by the Agnes Krueger Scholarship recipients of 2015 on Thursday, July 23. Students will present solo and chamber musical works that as sure to delight the crowd.
