Remember last week’s mystery photo contest? We challenged you to guess where we spotted the “11th commandment” inscribed on a holy tablet found somewhere in Barrington.
We received dozens of guesses and every single one of them was correct! The place where we took this picture is… DRUMROLL PLEASE … Saint Anne Catholic Community’s rectory. You can’t park here, because these spaces are reserved for Father Chris and Father Joji! I snapped the photo before Sunday mass. That’s the church in the background and my husband on the sidewalk wondering what on Earth I’m up to…
All who guessed correctly we entered in to a drawing. We just chose the winner and his name is… ED RAKOWSKI of Barrington Hills! We’ll be in touch with you within a week, Ed, about how to receive your prize, which is a special gift from the parish. Congratulations for winning our contest and thanks to all who entered!
Saint Anne Catholic Community serves many and welcomes all with over 3,500 families who call Saint Anne in Barrington their spiritual home. One of the largest parishes in the Archdiocese of Chicago, you’ll find Saint Anne church at 120 N. Ela Street in Barrington, Illinois. Learn more about the parish at StAnneBarrington.org.
Stay tuned for our next Guess Where Wednesday contest. The rules will be the same. Simply guess where in Barrington we took the mystery photo and submit your guess in the contest entry form or comments box below. From all the correct guesses submitted, we’ll draw our winner and reveal the location and prize the following week. That’s all there is to it!
In the meantime, be sure to pay attention to the sights you see around town. It’s the little details that could be on display the next time we ask “Guess Where, Barrington?”
