Would you like to sample 50 quality wines from 10 regions of the world in 1 place tomorrow night? That’s what’s on the agenda for the 8th annual Uncork Barrington wine tasting happening tomorrow night, Friday, July 6th, in downtown Barrington. Today, we have the details about the wine, the food and some brand new features for this year’s event.
Uncork Barrington is one of the community’s most unique and social tasting events of the season, capping off Barrington’s 4th of July festivities before the tent retires for another year. We took part as sponsors of the first Uncork Barrington event eight years ago and I can attest that his is one party that keeps getting better with age.
For the price of admission, you can taste 50 wines and enjoy hors d’Oeuvres from 8 restaurants to a backdrop of live jazz music under the stars in downtown Barrington. And this year, they’re adding even more sophistication to the evening by introducing a new artistic element. The work of local artists will be on display at about a dozen booths during the event so you can peruse their pieces as you sip your way through the wine passport you’ll be provided at the door.
Tickets cost $45 in advance or $50 at the door and can be purchased online by clicking HERE or at these Barrington & Kildeer locations: Wine Discount Center (311 East Main Street), Park Avenue Wine Bar (205 Park Avenue), Barrington Print & Copy (200 James Street), Coopers Pizza (200 S. Hough) and Couture Cupcakes (20771 N. Rand in Kildeer). There’s also a special price this year if you’d like to purchase a combo ticket for Uncork Barrington (Friday, July 6th) and Barrington Brew Fest (Saturday, July 7th). Click HERE if you’d like to purchase tickets to both events for $75.
