The Barrington Park District is hosting a special, family-friendly party to ring in the new year.  And it’s a great way to celebrate if you’re more likely to be counting sheep than counting down at midnight.  It’s their First Annual Noon Year’s Eve Ball happening in the morning on the last day of 2012.

Parents and kids can get a jump start on the evening’s celebration with a morning party that starts at 10:30 and lasts until 12:30 on Monday, December 31st.   There will be dancing and festive snacks followed by Noon Year toast and countdown at, you guessed it, NOON!

It’s happening in Rooms A and B at the Fitness & Rec Center and it’s open to all ages.  A parent or guardian is free, but are required to stay with their child.  The fee is $9 for in-district families or $11 for families who live out of the Barrington Park District.

For more information or to register, call Jodi Krause at 847-381-0687. You’ll find the Fitness & Recreation Center at 235 Lions Drive in Barrington and you can learn more about Park District programs online at BarringtonParkDistrict.org.

***Please note that you must call to confirm whether there is still space.  The registration deadline for this event was listed as December 19th.  I’m told you can still sign up, but not for much longer because they have to lock in their numbers for planning purposes.
