St. Anne Catholic Church will be filled with the sounds of barbershop melodies, folk songs, sea shanties, African-American spirituals, the Notre Dame Victory March and more during a free concert tonight starring the University of Notre Dame Glee Club.
The concert program will feature a cappella music from the Renaissance and Classical periods in addition to sacred and secular music under the direction of Daniel Stowe.
The eighty voice, all-male chorus will begin their performance at 8 p.m. tonight, Friday, March 8th. The group is in its ninety-seventh year as one of the nation’s most renowned university choral ensembles.
The concert is free to the public, although donations will be accepted to defray the cost of the tour.
