One of my favorite transformations to date!
1 year ago in October, my beautiful guest came to me for a consultation. She had been box dying her hair for years and wanted to be blonde for her wedding in September 2024 (thank the Lord she came to me so far in advance 🙏🏼) I did a strand test to see what was underneath her current color (last pic). This revealed only about an inch of hair that could be lightened enough to what she wanted and the rest would *NEVER* get light enough until it grew out. This is why box dye is the enemy.
The only solution was removing as much of the color as possible (many appointments of color remover and highlights) and a major chop! Luckily we had time on our side since we had 11 months to accomplish this.
I cut several inches off since she knew she was going to wear extensions anyway. Once she was happy with her hair color, I installed 22 inch keratin extensions.
Since she’s doing her hair herself for her wedding, I gave her a little styling tutorial and we played with some ideas!
Her hair is so much healthier and fuller today! Thank you for trusting me and for all of your patience and understanding the process!
