This month we have a “Back to School” theme. We’re calling it the Classroom Riddle Challenge and the best part is that Learning Express Toys is again offering prizes for our winners!
We have five classroom-related riddles in this quiz. And each kid who submits any correct answers will be entered into our drawing.
But first, let’s reveal our winners who correctly solved last month’s Blue House Mystery. Here was the riddle:
There is a one story house and everything is blue.
The lamp is blue, the floor is blue.
The walls are blue and
the roof is blue.
What color are the stairs?
And the two winners who correctly guessed the answer and will each win $50 gift cards to spend at Learning Express Toys are……

Before we share details on how to enter July’s contest, it’s time to reveal the winner from last month. Because June is a month for celebrating dads on Father’s Day, we asked kids to draw a picture of their dads and share what they most love to do with their dad. Our winner is a ten year old boy named Patrick Wang who says, “My favorite thing to do with my dad is to play ping pong with him.” And here’s a look at the picture Patrick drew, winning him a $100 gift card from Learning Express Toys in Barrington and Lake Zurich……

For the first time since publishing her children’s book, Princess Shayna’s Invisible Visible Gift 15 years ago, Tower Lakes author, Sheila Glazov, will have the honor of watching a musical rendition of the story brought to life on stage this Sunday night. Performers with Lake Zurich’s Trilogy School of Performing Arts have prepared a special interpretation of the book, which is a “family fairy tale” about a young princess created to help children of all ages build self esteem.
The musical version of Princess Shayna’s Invisible Visible Gift was adapted shortly after Sheila published the book’s second edition to include paragraphs about bullying in schools. She wrote the story as a “fairy tale version” of her popular adult book examining behavior and relationships called, What Color is Your Brain? A Fun and Fascinating Approach to Understanding Yourself and Others.…
