We’re all invited to come sing along or listen in as carolers sing their way from store to store for Barrington’s Christmas Art Walk from 5 to 6 p.m. this Thursday, December 19th. Carolers from Willow Creek Sections 105B and 106B will be gathering at Cook Street Coffee to lead the caroling late Thursday.  Singing will start at 5 p.m. at the Barrington Flower Shop, the first of twelve locations along Barrington’s Christmas Art Walk.

If you can’t make the caroling, there’s still plenty of time to explore, discover and walk through the twelve participating Village of Barrington stores to experience the Christmas Art Walk which runs through December 24, 2013.

Twelve Artists have created original commissioned pieces depicting the Biblical Story of Christmas. Each piece tells the story through the actions of the characters at that point of the story inspiring viewers to remember the true Gift of Christmas.

Marsha English is a self taught artist working in such medias as paint, photography, fabric work, crafts, and paper sculpturing to name a few. “God gave me a ton of imagination and lots of creativity. The best part of working on my art is God and I spend a lot of time together as I work on my pieces. It’s a quiet time for me while my hands are busy my thoughts are available for beautiful conversations with our God.”

People enjoy the experience and are eager to return. While a camera is his main tool for capturing his subjects, it’s most important to make a statement about his subjects and tell their story.
