We’re all invited to come sing along or listen in as carolers sing their way from store to store for Barrington’s Christmas Art Walk from 5 to 6 p.m. this Thursday, December 19th. Carolers from Willow Creek Sections 105B and 106B will be gathering at Cook Street Coffee to lead the caroling late Thursday. Singing will start at 5 p.m. at the Barrington Flower Shop, the first of twelve locations along Barrington’s Christmas Art Walk.
If you can’t make the caroling, there’s still plenty of time to explore, discover and walk through the twelve participating Village of Barrington stores to experience the Christmas Art Walk which runs through December 24, 2013.
Twelve Artists have created original commissioned pieces depicting the Biblical Story of Christmas. Each piece tells the story through the actions of the characters at that point of the story inspiring viewers to remember the true Gift of Christmas.

There’s an artist in Barrington named Melissa Loutos who specializes in transforming walls into works of art. Her business is called Bella Muri, which translates to “Beautiful Walls” in Italian and she has been perfecting her technique in decorative painting and refinishing surfaces for the past 17 years.
“My customer’s home is my muse and making their home truly reflect who they are is my inspiration. Everyone has different taste.”
“I can work with a home that’s more traditional and then go into another house that’s the complete opposite and it’s great. The best thing about being a decorative artist is the imagination of my clients, being able to create that custom finish on pretty much any surface to achieve a look that’s personal to their style.”
From murals to decorative finishes to furniture, cabinet, concrete and wall resurfacing, Melissa says she’s not afraid to step outside the box, trying new and interesting materials for extraordinary results that bring ideas to life.
As a mural artist, Melissa and her team will transform full rooms, from floor to ceiling, including nurseries and children’s rooms, with your choice of theme, like this Chicago skyline mural……
