Four times a year, Mary Dale and Sarah Cuthberson receive the latest collection created by W by Worth, a New York City-based brand of high quality clothing sold primarily out of the homes of the company’s network of professional sales associates.

Mary describes the W by Worth brand of clothing as “affordable luxury”, including beautifully constructed pieces made with the finest textiles that are classically styled while being on-trend. “These are investment pieces our clients say are the go-to items in their closet.”

To view and shop the full line, you book an exclusive, one-on-one appointment.  This season, the trunk show appointments are happening in Sarah’s home in Barrington October 3rd through the 10th.  If you are not available during the show, there is an interactive web option as well allowing you to view and shop the line from home.

During your visit, you will have private access to view and try-on the clothing.  Mary and Sarah act as consultants, asking about style preference and lifestyle needs before advising on garments to compliment all body types.  It is a fun hour in a relaxed, no-pressure environment.  “Our focus is on customer service, not sales.  We only sell customers pieces they truly love and will wear with regularity.”

They’ll show you how to mix and match pieces from the line to get the most out of your investment and Sarah says the pieces are designed to work together.  “Clients buy two or three items and we talk about how those pieces can also work with what they already have in their closet to sort of update their existing wardrobe with this season’s trends and fabrics.”

Among the brand’s biggest fans in Barrington are women who juggle both a family and full or part-time careers.  Mary says that’s because they help clients achieve a polished look with less time worrying about finding the right size, fit and style.  “People appreciate the service, convenience and privacy of shopping this way while finding beautifully designed clothes that last them years.”

While professional women appreciate shopping this way, the line is not strictly for working women. There are pieces to fit every lifestyle: jeans, coats to throw on over workout gear, fabulous layering shirts and sweaters that work for women who are running kids to school, going to PTO events and volunteering at various organizations.  “We have several clients who come with a favorite pair of jeans, and we find a great night-out top or outerwear to complement it.”

If that weren’t enough, both ladies say they were drawn to W by Worth because of the company’s philanthropic spirit.  “One of the many things we really like is that they support our clients’ favorite charities through special ‘Giving is Always in Fashion’ trunk shows which allow us to donate a portion of our proceeds from that show to a particular cause.”

For the Winter Collection Mary and Sarah say they are seeing lots of texture blocking, digitalized prints and the classic black and white combination. There is also plenty of daytime wear in their winter line, along with fun pieces that are more fancy, more festive and perfect for parties and entertaining this holiday season.

The new winter line also includes trends like florals that pull in colors like greys, lavenders and pastel blues, as well as a one-shoulder, draped bodice, for example. Oh, and lace for the most sophisticated of soirees!
