ChristKindlFest 2014 is now open, but the fun is just getting started! One of the most exciting things about Barrington’s annual winter market and music festival is the community performers who take the stage inside the fest’s heated holiday tent and that makes #10 on our list of 12 reasons not to miss ChristKindlFest.

Starting tonight, performers of all ages from in and around Barrington are scheduled to take the stage, leading up to the evening’s headlining bands.  Much work has gone into scheduling this weekend’s performances, under the leadership of Barrington Breakfast Rotary’s Suzanne Gibson.

Suzanne’s goal has been to fill ChristKindlFest with music and dance for the 4-day event, bringing a festive dose of Christmas cheer to downtown Barrington.

Suzanne recommends catching as many performances as possible but says you definitely don’t want to miss Barrington’s second annual Tuba Christmas, which draws dozens of area tuba players together for a special holiday performance under the direction of BHS band leader, Randy Karon.

She also says the Village Church Choir is planning a beautiful holiday concert to close ChristKindlFest this Sunday at 3:30.  For a taste of what’s to come, check out these scenes from last year’s ChristKindlFest performances.
