Now that spring is in full swing, we’re inching to closer summer swimsuit season. If you’re kicking your workout routine into high gear to get your beach body back, you’re going to love what’s new at lucy activewear. Store manager Becky Wipperfurth says lucy is for women who like to move.
Of all the activewear collections you’ll find at lucy, Becky says their “Do Everything” collection is one of the most popular, especially at this time of year. The Do Everything collection is newer to lucy and it is really made for the active mom and the active traveler who needs a lot of layering pieces including jackets, pants, tee shirts and camis. They’re pieces that can be mixed, matched and are good for everything, hence the name.”
lucy Supervisor and Barrington native, Shannon Kraft modeled several pieces from the Do Everything collection when we recently paid lucy a visit. “This outfit is our Get Going Capri in our flex fabric,” Becky says. “It’s moisture-wicking, quick-dry and it flexes with movement. You can really wear this capri for any activity and it’s great for travel! Shannon is also wearing Lucy’s Strong and Sexy Jacket. I like the yellow because it’s a fresh color for spring. It’s bright, cheery and perfect over our Workout Tee, which is another lightweight, quick-dry basic.”
Becky says you’ll find a lot of new colors for spring at lucy like yellow, papaya, cypress and bluefish. “We also have quite a few pieces in navy, which is becoming the new black. We have a lot of navy bottoms and we always carry pieces in basic gray and black tones, which everybody loves.”

We staff our store with what we call “lucy on purpose”. We are all active, we’re moms, we’re students, we’re 20-somethings, 30-somethings, 40-somethings, 50-somethings and we’ve all been in the same position as the women walking through the door.”
