Earlier this week I promised that I’d follow up with some fun Halloween activities going on this weekend for adults in Barrington and there’s one event happening tomorrow night that sounds simply sinful. It’s called “Bubbles, Bon Bons and Brie” and you’re going to DIE when you hear the details. Skull Lollipop anyone?…

197. Barrington Artists Unite for The United Way
Since I started writing this blog on April first, there is one Barrington photographer whose images you’ve seen featured here more than any other. His name is Bob Lee, and after he retired, he made a decision to use his photography in charitable ways. If you’re looking for a photo of a non-profit or community event that has taken place or was planned in Barrington, he is the go-to guy.
Bob Lee is one of 30 local artists featuring their works at businesses throughout Barrington for this year’s United Way campaign which kicks off in Barrington today.…

193. Kids Eat FREE Sundays at Pinstripes
As I research things to write about here at 365Barrington.com, I occasionally come across FREE things to do in Barrington. I thought it might be helpful for me to create a space here on this blog where you can read about the free things local businesses are offering. So today, I’m officially debuting one of our latest features here at 365Barington.com.
I’ve decided to put this “Oh Yes! It’s FREE” button in the right sidebar here at 365Barrington.com. If you click on the graphic in the sidebar, you’ll see the latest free things to do in Barrington. I’m starting with something that kids can do for free tonight in South Barrington.…

180. Hold Your Breath for a Bears Win
There’s only one thing that die-hard NFL fans will be doing in Barrington tonight, and that’s tuning in for the Bears/Packers game at Soldier Field at 7:30. If you feel like getting out of the house for tonight’s game, there are some great football specials being offered at several Barrington hot spots tonight. Here are a few to choose from:…

163. Try a Pie from Sergio’s Pizza
It’s the busiest night of the week at Sergio’s Pizza in Barrington. On a typical Friday night, the popular Barrington pizza spot serves up about 200 pizzas, and tonight, they have some big VIP orders to fill from the boy scouts, to the high school to Barrington Youth Football. Sergio’s owner, Tony Dioguardi, gave me a quick tour of the kitchen during crunch time today.
Sergio’s has been around in Barrington for the past 28 years, but Tony bought the business five years ago. He owned his own brokerage firm and decided he was ready for a change of pace……
