231. Guess Where Wednesday: It’s Totally Sweet!

If you have a sweet tooth, you’ll definitely have an advantage in this week’s Guess Where Wednesday mystery photo contest.  You haven’t truly experienced Barrington in all of its sweet glory if you’ve never been t0 the place where this week’s photo was taken.  Can you guess where we are?

If you can guess this week’s mystery photo, you’ll have a chance to win a gift certificate to spend at the place where the picture was taken.  And, let me tell you, you will be surrounded by the food of the gods!

Entering the contest will take you seconds and we’ll reveal the winner on Wednesday of next week.  But first, let’s take a look at who won last week’s mystery photo contest.  We had a record number of votes come in last week, with over 50 people submitting guesses.  But we can only pick one winner.  My daughter drew the name just seconds ago and it is…

Cathy Helm!  Congratulations and thanks for guessing, Cathy.  You were right.  Our mystery photo was a tight shot of the United Way horse on display on the corner by Noodles & Co. and The Gap at Deer Park Town Center, where Cathy will be rewarded with a $25 gift certificate to spend at any of the shops or restaurants there.  I’ll be in touch in the coming days, Cathy, with details about how to receive your prize.

To see last week’s mystery photo and all of the guesses we received, CLICK HERE.  This horse, designed by Barrington artist, Janet Mamon, is one of dozens of horses stationed around town as part of the Barrington Area United Way’s 2012 Roundup II campaign and will be available at their upcoming  Gala Horse Auction coming up on Saturday, October 13th.  If you’d like to see all of the horses on display in Barrington and vote for your favorite, you’ll find them on the United Way’s website at BAUW.org and you can CLICK HERE to cast your vote online.
